The community of Fort Sill is mourning the tragic loss of Lynn Malatt, 64, who died following a motorcycle accident in Comanche County on the evening of June 8.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Interstate 44 near mile marker 40.5. Investigators reported that Malatt was traveling northbound when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, his motorcycle left the roadway.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene after reports of a serious single-vehicle crash. Despite their efforts, authorities confirmed that Malatt died from the injuries he sustained. His family has been notified of his passing.
