Family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the tragic loss of Morabia Siddhi Suresh, 33, of Fremont, whose life was cut short following a heartbreaking incident on Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County on June 8, 2026.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Morabia was involved in an initial collision on the northbound side of Interstate 75 near the 62-mile marker. In the aftermath of the crash, her pet reportedly escaped from the vehicle. Concerned for its safety, she exited her vehicle and attempted to retrieve the animal. During that effort, she entered the roadway and was struck by a passing Chevrolet Malibu.
Emergency responders transported Morabia to Rockcastle Regional Hospital, where medical personnel provided emergency treatment. Despite their efforts, she later died from her injuries. The Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office subsequently confirmed her death.
Authorities have stated that neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have played a role in the incident. The tragedy has deeply affected those who knew Morabia, who is being remembered for her compassion, kindness, and selfless nature.
